"I will not allow our Parliament to be steam-rolled into making New Zealand a de facto dictatorship for nine days when there is no proper scrutiny of laws being made." - David Seymour.

This form of urgent law making has no place in New Zealand

It doesn't mean he won't vote against the legislation, just that he wants the normal due process and timeline to occur.

That is a well thought out comment. @Bill999 if this gets around, his party could get 250,000 votes next election..... It seriously looks like he will get ours as well.

Yes agreed, this is a piece of B/S from NEWSHUB

ACT are calling for due parliamentary process and it has been reported by NEWSHUB that they "will oppose the Government's gun law reforms"

I've sent an email to Mr Seymour !

In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when conserved by the sportsman. The excellent people who protest against all hunting, and consider sportsmen as enemies of wildlife are wholly ignorant of the fact that in reality the genuine sportsman is by all odds the most important factor in keeping wild creatures from total extinction.
