    Submitted the hand in form

Same as 223rem my fucking hand was forced. I wanted to wait but feel like I couldn't.

You know that Browning box in the background of my SKS photo? My landlord saw it in our rubbish bin, called his property managers, and they've jumped down my throat. I had told them when we moved in that we had firearms and asked to install a safe and that was all fine and dandy back then. But that was well before the 15th, before we were public enemy #1.

Property manager says he and the landlord are extremely concerned about the firearm branded boxes, he asked if it was from a gun I bought and how often I buy guns. I gave general but truthful answers because I wanted to stay in the good books so they'd let us install fibre. Anyway he asked if a vetter had come to inspect our security, and when I said yes he asked me to send him a copy of the certificate to prove it (is that even a thing? I've never heard of it and I sure as hell didn't get one). I told him that isn't a thing and gave him my arms officers number.
He says he'll call my AO and discuss his concern over me "constantly buying firearms" (there were two boxes, I had spent my bond return on my .303 and the NHM. My fourth and fifth ever guns) and my "concerning attitude towards firearms" (i have no idea what he meant by that), among other fearmongered bullshit.

I know it isn't a certainty but I have obviously read the same stories over the last two weeks of armed raids to confiscate newly banned guns that you guys have.

I thought it over yesterday and today and caved in tonight. I don't want to be raided by armed cops over a gun, it isn't worth it. I knew I was going to lose it anyway.

Feeling pretty defeated right about now and don't know what else I could have done beside sit here and wait to be raided while all my neighbors watched. I know I'm probably going to get as much shit as 223rem did for "caving" or "jumping the gun" or whatever bullshit.

That sucks, your rifle didn't seem to fit the description of an MSSA.

To clarify I did the mail order form for the NHM through that AO a month ago and she knows me well enough to remember it, assuming they don't keep them on file which of course they will. If fuckface calls her babbling all that shit about me she'll check record, see I have an MSSA, and send the fuzz to my house to take it. Based on all the other similar stories I've read the last two weeks I have to assume that's what will happen, especially when everyone's all spooked about us right now.

    FFS.

Maybe he would prefer a meth lab in the property instead?

NHM-90 is being turned in not the SKS. I'm fucking keeping that until I know for sure I have to lose it.

Fucking still sucks, I was super excited for months about buying it and then I finally got it. A week before the terrorist attack. I only got to fire it once.

Note to the fucking cops reading this: If the SKS is confirmed banned it will be turned in like the NHM.

Your circumstances, your firearm, your choice. Undue pressure.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

You didn't have much choice handing that one in infortunately. Pity your landlord was so officious. Glad I own my own house.

    That’s helpful.

    Not.

I was going to suggest you don’t put firearms boxes out the rubbish next time.

Your hand wasn't forced, whilst it is a less than ideal situation you did not have to hand it in yet.

Fuck it I'll choose to see the bright side. You'll all be handing in your forms in two week as well anyway, and maybe since I got in early I'll get a decent return on the buyback before they start running out of money and low-balling everyone else, ha.
