I'm fairly sure it would be illegal because Police Minister Stuart Nash would find it 'scary'.

Quote: "We are going to have a look at the whole licensing regime," he told Newshub. "I admit that does not look like the sort of stock-standard pistol you'd imagine. It looks like a very scary weapon."

I'm pretty sure that after the all dust has settled, Gun City and others will be testing the limits of what can be sold, pretty hard.

We'll likely know then what's possible and what's not.

What do you rekon? Read this article about the F17-L

Seems there are some AR15 parts that you could do away with with no big loss. Dust cover and fwd assist. Not sure on charging handle tho

I don' think that approach will work this time though....as now if anything is considered undesireable it can be done away with without even involving parliament.

Do you have one? If not why worry.... If you do, wait a few weeks for the details to be organised (yeah I know the details should be sorted before being implemented bit that's logical)

I honestly cant believe anyone is even asking the question (unless its a pisstake) the rifle shown looks and functions the same way...its a semiautomatic with high capacity magazine in the "dress/clothing/shape" of a M16/AR15
if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, can fly like a duck, sheds water off its feathers like a duck.......do you honestly expect to fool anyone that its a sabertooth tiger???

Last time I checked, I had upper and lower components. Blimey, am I alright to still go out in public?

Of course it's legal, it's a dedicated rimfire, so it fully complies. It's not a real AR15 with an upper conversion kit.

Iím kinda with you on this one. Semi rimfire are not subject to centre fire detachable mags. But only aloud 10 shot detachable ( 10/22 ) standard. Itís lamb dressed as Ram. Thatís the hard part.

One more hole through the new legislation that you could drive a container ship loaded with legal sporting firearms through... I suspect they are going to get very sick of issuing orders in council shortly.

I would say a no-go because of the re-clasification of receiver and this

First off this particular version features the Franklin Armory Libertas Lower Receiver
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
