Regards to memories of your Dad @scotty.
I note the use of "proper" beer bottles in those days :)
-
fire engine beer too!!!
good on you Scotty for being able to remember the good years. the pain will pass and then you will stop and chuckle at all the daft Dad things he did over the years for your amusement...Im dreading the day mine passes.
-
Don't know you or your Dad @scotty but I am sorry for your loss, the older I get the more I am aware of my parents mortality and I know sadly one day I will go through the same.
R.I.P

Always sad to lose a parent, great that you have good memories of his time on earth and are celebrating them.
-
Thank goodness for color photographs. Makes those happy memories more vivid:)
-
My commiserations Scotty. Good on you for sharing the photo. As Woody said, big bottles reined supreme back then.
-
Sorry for your loss, Scotty. It can take your breath away when they drop.
Take care and thanks for sharing that pic. Reminds me of my old Dad, same get up
Big bots of lion red, toweling hats, stubbies and happy memories.

That is a very sad bit of news, and our extended community the poorer for his passing, mate.
I feel the distance between my parents and me (11,500km) more keenly as they age, and I dread the day they are no longer there.
-
I don't think you ever really get over the loss but you know they would be proud of you when you achieve some thing great. That photo reminds me of the good old days.
Sorry for your loss

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.
-
Sorry for your loss mate.
Remember him by telling stories around the camp fire, that's what I do and a big bot always helps.
-
Condolences to you and the family. On a lighter note, very suprised that none of that crew have a ciggy hanging out the side of their mouth

Sorry for your loss Scotty,
