TJ ( from the old Fish'n'hunt forum ) aka Chop3r on here

Very sadden to hear the news of Terry's passing, He was a genuine GC

I meet TJ many years ago at a Fish"n"Hunt forum gong shoot up Meremere, we hit it off straight away, he had a certain cool swagger about him, was a great chatter & alround top fulla.

Many a great hour was spent on the old FnH forum with TJ pitching in ( he was also a Mod on there ) one such great weekend he & Mick hunter picked me up & we convoyed to the 2nd annual Whitemans Valley FnH forum get together, while that awesome event turned into a late night / early morning debacle, us clever buggers had all retired to Bryans Woolshed n comatose out, God that was funny & fucken great times

On this new forum he flew under the radar a little as Chop3r but still contributed & enjoyed it here.

TJ's mental health had sadly deteriorated over the past couple of years but I like to remember the good times, we used to catch up every now n then (as his wife had family in Palmy ) or stayed with them in the Tron, where a few cold beers & many laughs were had.

While TJ loved his Dogs, for me his expertise on wooden stock refurbishment were second to none, he definitely did it for love not money & the time n effort he put into a project showed, the finished timber gleamed n was a testament to his workmanship & pride he took in doing something right.

    RIP mate

Good straight up bloke. Promoter of the ear burrowing rat gun (EBRG).
Dropped his BAR in the river Tahr hunting. He disassembled it on the hut table to dry it out. They were complex things. Parts everywhere. But he got it back together again.
    RIP Terry.

    Well said Phil.

Terry was a good man. The original self proclaimed forum “Font” on the old forum.

Bloody handy with the stock work and checkering.

    Rest in peace ol mate

His funeral was today down south.

There will be a memorial gathering up north here at some point. Will keep you posted if I hear more.

Thankyou for bringing that to our attention Philipo. Sadly I didnt know he was on here as Chop3r.
I'd crawled into my sleeping bag before all the hijinks kicked in on the Whitemans Valley get together

Rest high up on that mountain TJ

Sadly I am not sure we ever met but with a eulogy such as you wrote above Phil, I am clearly the poorer for not having known the man. Rest in peace Terry.
