I use the clamp section of a pipe flaring tool to grip the projectile through the loading press die hole and have disassembled many loaded rounds with ease.

When I had my one I got fed up with make the paper cartridges, and just dropped a bullet in the barrel and filled it with powder worked better than the cartridges with more consistent ignition.

Report it to CAA and WorkSafe as an incident if it was a close call. There is give and take in the outdoor pursuits, but this seems like a fatality waiting to happen.

Yeah be hard for them to ensure there firing line is safe from a chopper, for all they know a ground hunter/tramper could be behind the deer. Seems like an accident waiting to happen to me
