    Yeah they used to do a 2-7x33 vxr with firedot. Don’t think they make them any more but occasionally come up for sale

    Agreed. A 260, Creedmoor, or 6.5 Lapua would be hard to beat if you had to have just one rifle. But the 308 is very efficient for 95% of the hunting that I do, so no need to change

    I don’t think I would risk building a custom rifle. I know of too many builds that have gone pear-shaped so I just stick with decent factory rifles. I remember reading a forum post many years ago...

    Yes 150s are very effective. But those chasing the extended ranges require a higher BC, which is where slippery 168s or 178s come in. Never used 180 power points but that would be an awesome bush...
