Theres a study done somewhere I remember reading it online, was done on red deer in the Kaimanawas from memory and I think it was an average of 3km they would relocate after being properly spooked....

Yes. I run the 162gr Amax at 2640fps using AR2208. It has proven itself to be an effective combination having taken animals from point blank to 550 yards.

I'm going off the lines of a softer bullet going slower will kill just as well as a lighter bullet travelling fast. Plus I can use the same projectile for my 284 and 708
