I took my boy and the dog into a favourite spot of mine in the weekend. It's a bit of a mission to get to as the access is via an overgrown hunters track. It follows a ridge down into a nice valley...

I would not be using a Vmax on deer or goats. I have shot thousands of rabbits with them and a few goats...they explode. I have shot a plenty of goats and deer with a 55gr Sierra gamekings.

I used a 1/8 twist 223 on deer pretty regularly for 9 years, generally with controlled expansion monolithics. I had a couple of heavier calibers at the time but I normally chose the 223, as I’m a...

Not much wrong with a 30-06 springfield with a 165 grain. 180 grain @ 2700 will outperform most with energy delivery at medium to long range. Accurate as all getout in a good rifle.
