Unless you have long arms that is quite long for someone your height. Did you get the bow from a shop? Did they measure your draw length?

if the candle stub is for lighting fires I'd be inclined to leave one of the hexi blocks in instead, just wrap it in gladwrap so the smell doesn't go through the pack.
