   Probably not what you want to hear but i brought a few firearms over from the UK and found it was easier, not too much more expensive and less stressful to fly there and bring them back as luggage....

   Fair point raised by GC. I moved over almost 20 years ago and found it easier to leave my guns in the old country and get licences/security sorted here before flying back and bringing them over...

    Similar issue with getting the pack into a vehicle. Had to stand one down to learn that they were all allowed a place and after a couple of tries the problem dog learnt it was not an exclusive gig.
