When you compare our old system to most systems around the world it was pretty bloody good. A little bit of tweaking and it wouldve been near perfect.

I'm on track to only have Tikka and Vortex, didnt really intend it to go that way but these two companies seem to offer what I want at this point in time. Used to be a lot more diverse.

The only real reasons to go 300blk are either to suppress is or to shoot it in an AR. If suppressing is not an option you may aswell go for 6.5 Grendel or one of the other cartridges you mentioned....

If the scope is going on a hunting rifle that you anticipate using at 0-300m most of the time then the 2-10 would be better. The 2x magnification on the low end is excellent for close range shots,...

If money allows a VX6 1-6 would be a awesome scope for a lever gun. I love my PST Gen2 1-6 but the Leupold looks much classier.

I don't but have come up with this issue in the past.It ultimately depends what other bag/pack you are carrying. A big pack with a scabbard or way of attaching rifle to pack is easy. No bag/pack...

Factory ammo is cheaper and don't have to worry about reloading. It wont be as loud and will recoil less. Rifles can be smaller and lighter than a 223 sized rifle. 223 is far more versatile in...

IMO the 6-9 is useless in the field, it doesn't take much grass or dip in the terrain to make it useless. I only use mine on the bench these days. Even a 9-13 gets defeat by long grass surpringly...
