    Hey Bryce! The Gamack block sounds great, and avoiding Jollie Hut should help with crowding. You might also check out Makarora or Haast Pass for tahr. Good luck and enjoy the trip!

    No you can’t drive the gate is locked . It gets a bit of pressure from the shepherds that work there as it’s pretty easy for them to glass from the Ute . Best bet is to put your boots on and walk up...

    The wildlife we have seen on this trip has been insane!! One wolf, two bears, more dear then we could count. Snakes, squirrels, chip monks, mink and martin. Raccoons, otters, seals and pups....
