Big fan of subsonic 22LR here. The silent killer! Good to 100 metres with a bit of practice. Alternatively, you can get subsonic rounds for 22WMR. Best of both worlds?

I mean the 5x5 group thing I posted approx a million years ago is a relatively good way to determine whether your rifle actually does consistently shoot "moa groups all day" within the bounds of...

Stocky, here ya go 136483 Not sure why around 1.5 MOA would "erk" you, unless you are shooting flies ? In my book that is well within minute-of-deer/goat :D

Yeah I’ve got a ‘79 A2 fullstock, and a fullstock 85. The older one is considerably lighter and I just like it more. Still selling both though, haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My old T3 with 24.5" fluted #4 barrel, T1 brake, VX6HD and one of Kens stocks. I was happy with this weight, I reckon it was light enough to shoot well in most positions. 136481

Boring old T3 7mmRM. It does have a fancy dan 3D printed titanium cocking piece shroud though:) 136437 What sneeze said about shooting weight. This is light enough.

Got a metal lathe at home, so did it myself. Took measurements off my AR15 carbine barrel and left a bit of a safety margin. Did wear a welding mask for the first couple of test shots though :D

'Ultralight' is often percieved as some kind of panacea. Sprinkle that shit everywhere. On your rifle. Your shoes. Your breakfast cereal. Your bank balance (woops - I went too far). :)

If you want a genuinely light rifle you have to accept the small gains everywhere and add them up, and start from a light base action. Can't generally get a super light rifle just by changing one...

Generally around your waist :P Barrel, stock & scope would give you the most gains. Stuff like fluting barrel & bolt not much.

Unless you are running leighigh or subx bullets the subs i used on animals were not great. You need to head shoot with heavy match bullets and have the rifle zeroed for those bullets, it is...

I do not know what you do for a job, but if you get the practise in, Boyds / GRS etc may be in trouble. Something like that could be worth buying local if you were able Looks great. Very well done.
