Replace it, nuf said. Not worth expending the required to get it tested, will buy most of the replacement... You'd see if it was a baffle strike doing that much damage, it would be evident on...

Appreciate your input, blip - fatigue affects us all and time will erode the most stalwart of metals, I imagine. The suppressor is about 10 years young.

I would leave the Remmy 597 - yes they could be quite problematic. I recall speaking to Remington importer a few years back and the 597 was not a success for them. For your budget I would get a...

Nothing to do with firearms in carry on, I mean nothing. Avsec have no sense of humour, they got the airport police onto me, he had a sense of humour and after a ginormous hassle I continued with my...

I used to shoot there 30 plus years ago, it was a great little facility. I used to clean out the bullet catchers for lead to feed my BP addiction.

The length from fully cocked to the end of the flight groove should give you a fair idea. Failing that, take it to an archery supplies place and seek their advice.

My guess is it's something to do with the construction of the slug versus shot, possibly the full length cup with a shot charge prevents baffle damage? In the time it took to type that the proper...
