This is on behalf and a bit of an awkward one. 6.5-06 built on a Mauser 8mm action. Barrel has only had a handful of rounds through it. Load testing. Can’t tell you who the gunsmith was but done...

Old .22 rifles often shoot above their cosmetic weight . Made in a time when people cared about the rifle , and hoe it was assembled.

Youve got nothing to loose but the price of a box... the difference between a 50grn nornal cup n core and a 50grn vmax is unreal in .223 cant see it being much less dramatic in the magnum.

229009 Got back to the range with 95g Targex loads, 5 shots into less than inch @100m. Pretty happy with that. See how they go on reds in a couple weeks.

so, reloading experts, here's my story with a conundrum. First time I've shot this 243. Barrels a 1980s/1990s Collings 22 inch. Rifle is mid to late 1950s. Shot 3 x 3round groups of factory...

The rod is just a small machine screw I had lying around. Being threaded it hangs on with the epoxy used. IIRC I drilled a hole thru the primer so that the open end goes into the pocket same as it...

Here are my gauges. The wooden handled one I made using an old RWS LR primer. Any primer pocket that the gauge goes into over 1/2 its depth is on its way out. The other 2 are go/no gauges from...
