I am not sure bmait I would get to hung up on one method being the B all and end all of steadying a rifle for a longer shot - yes a bi pod is really good - but will you have time to set it up if...

Bipod and rear bag will see you right. The 5 guys that have replied so far have a combined age of 485. Just look at the bipod on a pillow, I mean make up ya mind :P

Just like me. Up hill shots over the bonnet (although out the ute window saves getting out) so it's a down hill drag to the road. Wouldn't dream of shooting one on the bottom side of the track.

Both scopes are very good, myself and a mate have vx5s, another mate has the v4. No complaints from anyone, but me lol the duplex reticle on my firedot is quite thick compared to what I'm used to....

It's also a lot of coin tied up in optics, good place to spend it but like kelton has said above-if you need some cash and can get by without the scope then you can replace a scope later.

Had a VX5 that suffered from the furry reticle. Sent it back for refurb. Sold it straight away to a mate. He had problems with it almost immediately and it went back for more work. Felt like an ass...

Can‘t commend on either because I have no experience with them but I would tend towards the scope with the better warranty. Zeiss is not well known for the latter.

Some guys can fuxk up anything I’ve found. Zeiss are good quality unless you fall into the first group. I’ve had to return both zeiss and Swarovski for bits of shit in the tube. Kahles for “rusty...
