Shorter action for the same performance may mean slightly lighter in some rifles? Just at a guess, and not really relevant to Tikkas cos they're too lazy to make short ones.

Those numbers do not sound correct at all. 700g with the only changes being alloy bottom metal, alloy mag bottom and barrel contour / fluting / length. 100 - 200g would be more like it.

Yeah I know, I looked there first, it just seems implausible that the Finnlight and 85 SS basically weigh the same, 100gms difference isn't convincing
