Also it will only be good for one rifle, whereas a rangefinder can be used with any rifle and in other situations. Far more versitile. Why not spend the $2.5k (or whatever they are worth thses days)...

Also use a good rest, front and back to reduce the amount of human error. If you can get to a proper rifle range it makes things easier as there are benches to shoot off and set distance target...
