To me its all about practicality. Yes it would be nice to keep the rifle in original condition but if that means it doesn't fit your requirements then whats the point? So I agree with the 20" barrel...

Probably the most versatile 270 I've had (and I've had one or two) would have been 19" T3, it was nice to point and carry with dpt on it and could still poke 150 LRABs out at 2850 which puts the hurt...

BSA270 liked post by No.3 On thread : Return to zero QD mounts
The ones I have direct experience of are the Warne QD 'Maxima' series rings, these are a sintered product so you can't lap them like a machined ring. No issues in use between the QD and non-QD...

I guess you guys see these all the time but it was interesting for me. This one went in through the head and came to rest under the skin by a front shoulder of a rabbit. 236884 236885

That one I popped at about 90, very steep down angle though, he was grazing in the bottom of a steep creek. The last one I shot for the evening flushed out of the tussock about 10 metres away from...

The neighbour has a rabbit infestation, and controlling it is problematic. The young ones have started to come over our way but they don’t last long… they get caught by two Staffordshire Bull...

Congratulations on the new rifle, 223 rem is a pretty easy caliber to get shooting accurate. Have you thought about shooting off a tripod, it could be easier on the body sitting and standing.

I bought a Tikka T3x Superlite Aspite about 8 weeks ago. I just couldn't resist the rifle when I saw it in Whakatane Hunting & fishing. Alan did a package deal with a basic Burris 3-9X scope. I...
