Was at my local range testing loads and a nice chap and his lady turned up to test out his brand new tikka, it was a nice looking bit of kit, cerakoate barrel and action in a nice brown with a twist...

Great to have another option seemingly competitively priced entering the market. From the video seems to have everything shooters need plus an improvement or two over the Garmin. If it works as...

That’s a big F you to Garmin haha. Pretty much look exactly the same. Savages. Will be interesting to see the price of Garmin units if the athlon turns out to be as consistent.

Sounds like it might actually be affordable for the known tight arses like me.

Just came across this from shotshow 2025 Athlon are releasing a chrono in April this year. Looks to be aimed at the Garmin market, can't wait to see if it pans out. I have long been a fan of Athlon...

Get the monocular. Pain in the arse trying to scan and hold up rifle at same time. Don’t need thermal scope if you’re shooting mostly during the day, defeats the purpose.

I was meaning can you shorten the barrel and re-thread. Or is the fluting too deep to re-thread, and would there be a shoulder for a suppressor to pull up onto.

We recently moved to Taupo & I’m needing to run load/scope DOPE at 600 yards or there abouts for the 284. Used to be easy at our old place which was 40 acre block. Had 500 - 625 yd options out the...

No need to dial. With a 200 yard zero and reasonable 140 grn factory ammo out to 400 yards you shouldn't have any daylight under the crosshairs. Always have the crosshairs on the animal. At 350-400...

You need a Lyman 66A or a Williams FP 94/36. Either is the right one for you. You used to be able to order the Lyman 66A straight off the Lyman website.
