Youve got nothing to loose but the price of a box... the difference between a 50grn nornal cup n core and a 50grn vmax is unreal in .223 cant see it being much less dramatic in the magnum.

Haven't got a magnum anymore but the 30g vmax were very accurate and killed very well on hares and possums. Give them a try.

If you want to try something light go the 130ttsx. Have this zeroed at 200m and 165g sst zeroed at 100m for the longer shots.

Crank it up outside and see how it runs....and if it leaks. Have something handy if it turns all flame thrower on you. Best to have it happen out on the concrete drive than inside the hut on day 1:o

Very true! Hot tip.... spraypaint bottle green or blue, put some stickers on it and take it carry-on as your waterbottle. Do make sure it's clean though! Make sure stove doesn't have any fuel...

Get very good at cleaning the bottle or be prepared to lose it to the friendly airline X-ray team Any slight smell of fuel and it belongs to their bin

I used to carry a small amount of Methylated to use as the preheat as its more stable and just so much easier to just pour a little in the pan and light it. Switched to a budget jetboil style cooker...
