    FFS...JUST LIKE CHRONICGRAPHS have ruined many a great load...borescopes have made many folks paranoid about how well they clean a rifle.... I run three or four patches with breakfree clp on...

    Makes you feel good but believe me, it could still have significant fouling. Glazed carbon rings in the throat can look shiny and clean just peering down the bore. Patches will show no evidence.

    its all good,just keep it well away from the scope,it will eat into seals and scope will fog... been there n done that..... his cleaning system has a lot of merit.

    I think what Pommy means is get a 270. Seriously I use a 270win and have shot deer, tahr and wallabies between 5 and 320 metres with a 3-9 scope.

    When I was still living at home, my Dad bought an old rifle from the rifle club. It had been re-barrelled I think.... and the wood had been reduced....but it was a military Lee-Enfield with '1897'...
