having had a 16" 308, 500m is really asking too much. i would also be adding a suppressor or flash arrestor as mine put about 12" or more flames out of the muzzle.

Yes battery should be able to get a replacement underwarrenty its caused by leaving the battery in when not in use best to charge them then take them out for storage.
