    I'm not a 308 expert, but I can tell you that it depends on the projectile, ambient weather and your ability. Someone might chime in, but i'd have thought an Amax or sst would be the way to go at...

    A Friend uses 17 hmr for culling around vineyards, with the right projectile they wont blow fist size holes. 223 is 'overkill' really. I have the bushnell rimfire 3-9. Its ok, nothing to rave...

    Agreed. It's trajectory is terrible, and shit selection of bullets. In saying that if all I had was a 25-06 I wouldn't sit around crying about it. Chris
