Ha ha Micky Duck we have similar tastes! I might take you up on that. The other one that looks interesting is the Winchester SXP. All a bit academic at the moment, have blown my spare cash on a...

Popped into H&F Dunedin today. They have some falcon, not heaps. I got couple of packets of the 35gm 70mm to try. Look like that was all they had, in 4s and 3s. Lots of Eley and other brands. Kent...

Yeah. Definitely a .22 to learn on and hunt some bunnies. You will need a centrefire later on for hunting larger beasts. I wouldn't start an 11 year old on anything bigger than a .223. But .22 is...

Before I started hand loading myself, a mate loaded up some military cases for my .308. Second shot I couldn't open bolt. Whacked it with a handy 4x2, case had split in half. Gunsmith had to take...

My issues were a flaw in both brass [U]and[U] the gun. It was so bad that I had to bail, and go into town to buy winchester about lunchtime on opening day. It was about 25 years ago.

Seemed to be a pile of it at H&F in Dunedin earlier this week.

A great show. The last one was great, good duck hunting action and awesome extended cooking section with one of NZs top wild game chefs. Excellent stuff.

I listened to that. A discussion on short barrels and supressors like it was new...we've been doing it in NZ for 20 years! Still they were correct in what they said and worth a listen.

18" with a supressor is a nice all-rounder length. My .308, is my main hunting rifle for everything and at 19" it's great, not really losing much at all in terms of velocity. In my view 308 over...

I got advice from a Fish and Game officer, and he said surpressors are fine. The regulations are silent on the matter....see what I did there?
