It's pretty easy measurement to take. With the bolt closed, drop a cleaning rod down the barrel, use tape to mark the muzzle, measure length of rod from tape to end.

Yeah, I'm with cigar and grandpamac. I'm 5cm high at 100m and so good out to around 220m without any thinking.

I have always hunted with lower powered scopes. The vast majority of deer I have shot have been on 2.5 power. At 300m 5 power will be plenty.
