I also like the bergera takedown. A mate has the new stainless model in .308 I have had a good play with it, putting about 30 shots through it and really really liked it. Good trigger, and ready to...

Ha ha, no thanks goodness, I was packing back wheels over my shoulders and other bits in my pack. It was 11pm, so well after dark. Saw green light from well back, at first I thought it may have...

Smooth side up, I use autosol metal polish from Repco. I prefer a 4X2 with a nail in it for the kids.

The Barnes 130gr is a versatile bullet. Expensive but very good, I've also found it to be pretty accurate. Should shoot pretty flat out to 300. I loved the 165gr Hornady SP. A plain Jane...

Great knives...although I've always had trouble sharpening them. I'll try the technique outlined above. Still, my first one did seven deer before I even thought about going near a stone with it.

Have a look at the Nikon Prostaff, they have rimfire specific models (50 yard parallax). I have a fixed 4X on my .22, really like it.

What those guys said. Its been a few years but both the Kay and the Frazer worth a look. If you need meat shoot a doe. Let bucks grow!

Use 2206H. It is by far the most versatile powder for .308 win. Also great for a whole bunch of other stuff too!

Great trip Gimp. I enjoy your vids. Its a neat style to let the landscape tell the story rather than yapping at the camera like most.

Goats generally aren't affected by 1080. Best follow official caution period of four months after drop before you eat anything form the area.

I'd suggest .243, regardless of the choices you suggested. .308, .270 (my preferred hunting calibres) etc will have more recoil than a beginner needs to endure. The .223, while it has cheap ammo,...
