    I haven't gained a heap of velocity by using 2208 instead of 2209 but I have achieved what I set out to do, which was to gain a little more velocity with less powder and a load that is not...

    Well I've just done load development for my 17" barreled model 7 latte'o'8 44gn of 2209 was my starting load and was good for 2460fps 44gn of 2208 was max load well over book max and gave 2706fps...

    Yup my model 70 winchester loved it, put140gn bergers into 1/4" 3 shot groups at 100 yards just a hair under 3000fps at 62gns
