Maybe salvage was the wrong word, rescue from an eternity of sitting in the back of a safe being unused may be better, I don't intend to change the character at all. Hopefully just hunt with it...

Sorry when I say salvage I would likely only get a new recoil pad (hopefully the same) and sort the trigger as its a little heavy, maybe get the barrel crowned. I will be doing some shooting to see...

Went over the blade with a few different grades of wet and dry down to 1000grit And took the lacquer off the handle and it's come up pretty nice. I think for now some true oil and a decent sharpen...
