Take a tip from the yanks, they've loaded a gazillion thutty-thutty rounds and you don't see anything but flat nose and Levervolution types . . . even the cast bullets for 30-30 are flat

They never run off wounded if you shoot them properly. With pigs, no question about it in my mind, the best way to kill them is to shoot them in the head. Big boars or fat heavy sows can take a...

Contrary to some of the big bore assumptions, pigs are actually very easy to kill. They have a very vulnerable neck / base of skull area that is easy enough to target as Moa Hunter says, just use the...

Mr Browning a couple of questions: Do you already have a centrefire? If so, if it is in the the range of my suggestions, use that. I have done a bit of boar stalking as I have never had a dog. My...

I went with a 7mm08 as my do everything centrefire. I have shot pigs, deer, tahr, chamois, wallaby and goats with it out to 300m no problems.

I hit an average sized boar in the neck with 308 168gr sierra matchking. It was pretty close at 15yards or so but those copper jacket hollow points do the job a treat. It blew a huge exit hole and he...

It's definitely worth the effort and time to gut and carry the boned out carcass to the ute. Wild pork is delicious

Gambrel and Hoist for hanging deer. Have used it twice now, so much easier than faffing about with motorbike tiedowns.
