   rossi.45 one trick I did use before I brought a bag was I got an empty 3 ltr wine bladder. With the thing deflated it takes up on room and once you are in position just inflate it to desired...

   I bough a cheapo set of empty rest bags off aliexpress and filled them with small bits of bedroll offcuts. Weighs next to nothing and clips onto anything.

    I got a small rectangular zip up bag & filled it with that plastic bubble stuff (like giant popcorn) that comes in packaging to protect stuff. Weighs next to nothing & clip to day bag with caribeener

    I made my own from a worn out pair of jeans, cut a length of leg and sew it up to the right shape. Filled mine with wheat and it doubles as a heat pack for the aches after a day on the hill :thumbsup:
