My mates Kimber Mountain Ascent in 308 with the factory muzzle break is a pussycat to shoot. And he retains his target site picture after the shot. Has less recoil & muzzle jump than my Montana 260.

Been a while, have started to rough out the shape of the stock. Ignore the butt pad and grip cap, they are just placeholders to get the shape. 266631 266632

Started with a ultralight mountain rifle in 7mm08 in the gun safe, one rifle to rule them all. But as it turns out, it got lonely, so a 223 sits beside it. Use both. Love both. Both kill.

A semi-auto 22mag would make a great pest gun if you really need speed. But I reckon a howa mini with a bunch of spare magazines, wouldn't be much slower and a damn sight more useful.
