I've been using a brno 223 over the last 12 years and shot all my deer (probably up around 30 deer now) and not one has gone further than 30 yards downhill. I've just recently upgraded to a 243 brno...

Ill add a good percentage of us are far far better shots than the(most) old deer cullers and are using far more accurate gear with detailed knowledge of trajectory's and wind drifts with a vast array...

Three baits will kill a stag. 1080 sub lethal doses can be cumulative. Read Eisler and forget the NZ bs.

If in doubt just eat Keas, we know that they don't take baits

It's all about assessing and managing risk. Basically to run the remotest chance of getting a detectable amount of 1080 in your system you would need to eat 100 kg of venison from a poisoned animal...

I made a comment on a youtube video the other day about the way a guy takes out the back steaks. Here's how we do it; the trick is to start the right hand back steak from the front. Some of you...

It’s already been spelt out on the other posts but the 223 and 7.62x39 will be fine on small/medium pigs, which is what you should be targeting for the freezer. But large boars are a very different...

I don't find pigs especially hard to kill for their size and have shot plenty with .223 and .25/06, but believe the .308 is the best of calibres you've listed and it's what I normally carry. When...

I sold the rifle to deer243 I can say the suppressor is long (looks very much like a gun works copy to.me) but pretty light. Lighter than my hardy gen IV. The weight is in the rifle it self. Has...

Deer are safe as houses in the bush. All (or at least most of) the hunters these days are sitting in the open waiting for them to come out. ;) I find all the shit/ kit we carry now, along with big...

don,t worry about the 223 killing power works well. I use to think the same but as long as the engine room or the neck is targeted out to 200m deer will die for sure the 55gr soft point works well

Good shooting. It’s a great caliber till you don’t hit the animal quite right. Then it becomes fun trying to tidy up the mess. 243 owns it.

Good stuff! Glad you got it out in the bush. That's two more animals than I shot with it....
