Dublin liked post by Tussock On thread : Medical Incident - Some learnings for your first aid kit.
You are not an idiot, you actually did really well. For reasons 1 and 7, health and safety and employment first aid training may be next to useless, bordering on counter productive, for outdoor...

You can vote with your debit card as you see fit, but I won't spend another dollar of my hard earned salary at H&F.

Pillow cases from Op shop. Keep them separate from Mum’s genuinely pristine one. Soak in bucket of water/bleach after use and all good for next trip.

Dublin liked post by Mooseman On thread : Who was the retard who didn’t check in his gun properly?
Shows how the media can hype things up alright. Both those incidents with loaded rifles are unbelievable, it's a wonder their aren't more people killed or injured when this sort of thing goes on....

No shortage of deer in the Haurangis where its used. The NZDA have monitored 1080 repellant drops in the past.

If we could be more involved in the consultation we could at least get them to use deer repellent in these RHA areas. We won't get them to stop the 1080. I don't think this is really the issue...

Yea, but what can we do? We are only the public. They powers do not listen to us or care. They do what they want regardless.

Dublin liked post by Ingrid 51 On thread : Dont take hearing protection lightly
Anyone remember the days when hearing protection was unheard of? I recall three of us firing Bren guns and chewing through several thousand rounds on a 25 yard range...in a blind gully. What’s that?...

Only properly suppressed sub sonic rifles are hearing safe other than that you are damaging your hearing....:(

From just the small sample they showed they look to be in mint condition... I would love a 1939 Luger... Just imagine what's in the rest of those crates! I'd be like a kid in a candy shop :P

I think it’s better to go out and look for sign in areas you think may hold deer than rely on a book. The sign will let you know if there are any animals in that area. Don’t write the area off if you...

You would be a lucky bugger, those 788's are usually very good shooters. Had one in 222 many years back when I started culling goats and it was a tack driver.

I am guessing that Chris Cahill lives in a house.Almost certainly a lot nicer house than mine......he does not need that house he could live in a tent or under a bridge where trolls belong.
