I've used both and the win 150 power point is awesome as a bush hunting load. Buy three packets, sight your rifle to be bang in st 50 meters and go hunting and shoot stuff in the bush until you run...

have used .308 now for the best part of 50 years - stay with 150 grain only because as long shot says 180grain will boot a bit more - dont over complicate what bullets will do comparing commercial...

Bullet placement is more important than weight. Use what u got.

Any difference at that distance is academic. The .308 has enough legs within 200m (and further out but lets say 200m so no one can argue) that basically any standard deer hunting factory round...

Set up a handful of guns with the 3-9 and 4.5-14, they go very well great bang for buck and no issues 3-9 easily gets a 7mm08etc out to 500m Just zero at 100 then use the holdover at 400 or 500 and...

I don't, way easier to knock over a red in the Ruahines than some sneaky arse paddock deer around here. Paddock deer around here hang in big mobs so many sets of eyes and are often in paddocks with...

I had one 4.5-14x42 on a 223 and then 243. Was fine. Shot wallabies out to 500m with it. Held zero really well, esp when my rifle was on a ATV a lot.

Had a 3-9x40 on a Ruger 10/22 semi. Thousands and thousands of rounds through it with the semi action cycling / slamming, scope never missed a beat and held zero for years.

None of which is relevant to the original post . Its a very pertinant question and deserving of a genuine answer , not just for the OP but many others as well

Seems like a lot of gun for the money and Bergara are good quality. I overlooked these as I assumed they would be heavy, but the same weight as a Tikka Lite.

My 18in bergara is pushing the 165g TGK at 2650fps. Happy with mine to 500m. Any gunsmith will cut a tikka to desired length.

My vote If suppressing cut to 16 inch. I am running 130ttsx at 3000 fps If not suppressed 22 inch. Used to run 168s at 2750fps.
