We run a .44 Rem Mag with cast 270gr flat nose & hollow points. They kill very well, because piggy is shot in the head, in the bail. Load them right, and use a crimp to control neck tension,...

Most of the 2014-2018 models have the same motor as my 2009 model, the 201kW 2GR-FE, or a mildly updated version, the 2GR-FKS. The newer models have an updated gearbox. Ours has been bullet...

I’ve read this thread with interest. I love my dogs, I think you already know that. Each to their own, and really I mean that, not being a dick about it, but once they’re dead they’re gone....

I couldn’t agree with you more Beetroot, I think a lot of the surprise comes down to the fact that the rattle or clunk tends to happen not long after they drive away from the Land Rover dealership....

The other petrol engine that should get a mention here is the Toyota 3RZ-FE, 2.7L 4cyl. I have not owned one of these, but there’s a couple in Tacomas stateside with my cuzzies, and they are like...

I did on average 40-45,000km p.a. I got the first 120series Prado with 80,000km on it and gave it back to the fleet manager with 255,000km. A typical 4 week holiday for us, from WA to Tas or the Vic...

If you’re going to buy an old truck, buy a petrol. Hands down the best option is a 1GR-FE V6 4.0 engined Prado, or even better for NZ use, the rare but findable Hilux with the same engine. The...

400m is well short, in my view, and... well... it just is. A reasonably soft bullet out of a 6.5, 7mm or .308 is good for a lot more than that. But we needed argue about that I suppose! The longer...

I can vouch for this as I’ve got the rifle now. I’d certainly be following this advice first before I paid money for any work.
