Because he bought a Ruger. I like their idea, they just never sorted a couple of issues. The Marlin trigger can usually be sorted yourself for the cost of 10 minutes.

Bought an 4x4 for $50. Had $200+ of tools, $15 cash, 3/4 tank of diesel (50l) plus heaps of other useful stuff in it. Oh, and it still drives, everything works.
