I've done the pen spring job in a couple of rifles, works a treat. Absolutely no safety or reliability issues. The 3.5" floppy shutter spring works well on the Marlin Semi's too.

Got a 4-16 on my wee 223. Find it works well. Not worried about low light, we can change that.

For light vehicles they don't count the combined weight anyway. Each is taken on it's own, so you'd have to get the zuk with that weight on it's wheels.
