I don't hate them, they're decent practical rifles. I just don't see what the fuss is all about. Cheap, accurate and light maybe... but other rifles are cheaper, just as accurate and similar weight...

I've never seen them do anything better (some things worse) than a Savage, Howa, Rem700 etc which can often be bought cheaper. Doesn't make the Tikka look particularly good value to me? Obviously...

I'm a fan of topo map and compass as well because it does encourage you to really take great observation in your surroundings and translate that into map form ;)
