Don't limit yourself to new. Get some fantastic deals in second hand. 22lr really don't wear out. The older Marlins have a better reputation.

I'd have to put my plug in for the Mighty Marlin. Cheap and cheerful. The kids Norinco JW15 is the only rimfire we have that out shoots it.

They are quieter, smell less, generally more efficient, like lower speed operation better. No mucking about with fuel mix. What you gain in motor weight you often recover with lower fuel load....

Electric might be low weight for the motor, but the batteries will more than make up for that saving. I'd look at air cooled 4 cycle, get them in the 3-5HP range now.

Thankfully for our fine feathered friend there is no one who would spread such rumours.

The hole for the train is the same size. The gauge is just the gap between the wheels. What makes it cheaper? Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk

Close-ish. There were a number of gauges used until they standardised , much like here. Unfortunately they settled on a stupidly narrow standard gauge here.

Engineering wise that makes no sense whatsoever. Narrow gauge on tighter turns would lead to instability. The main thing that would determine the tightness of a turn would be the length of the...
