Personally I'd go for a 6 weight, particularly if your budget is a bit limited. With a 6 you can comfortably fish nearly any water you want to, yes it may not have quite the finesse for those dainty...

most guys will tell you if going subsonic you NEED TO hit CNS or double lung and expect animal to walk away then drop.....from my limited experience shooting my own sheep in small paddocks at 30-50...
