2x walking poles makes a good makeshift bipod. Not aware of any tripods approaching 300-400gm in weight like a bipod? Although they are very practical otherwise

6CM also performs more or less equivalent to .243 and has 1:8 as a factory twist by default, and there is good factory ammo available - it just doesn't seem to have widely caught on like 6.5CM

A .243 will smoke the 6mmARC with handloads and a 1:8 twist - i.e. all 4 book max loads listed by ADI are ~3050fps with a 108gr ELDM. It's cool that the new Remingtons come with 1:8, makes .243 great...

This is incorrect and I am wrong - the 6mm holds more energy. Speed is lower, more drop, similar drift (6mm c.f. 223)

You'd get a similar experience using a bullet that doesn't work in any cartridge. I'd recommend selecting a bullet that works.

53 pages of the .223 being effectively demonstrated to be the most practical ultimate cartridge of any size, let alone compact.
