Greetings All, To answer the original question sub MoA should be possible in a good .223 Rem rifle. There are some conditions though. First the rifle must be capable of it. Second the shooter needs...

Hodgdons lists 26.5 grains as max for the 50 grain Speer soft point, not the Barnes. 26.5 grains is over max for the Barnes especially when seated too close to the lands as you have. As the other...

I don't think I have ever seen a .223 shoot that badly. My first thought is that something is loose or the scope is shot. Further your projectiles are too close to the lands. Barnes recommends a bare...

Micky Duck liked post by grandpamac On thread : Flat primers
Greetings All, In my experience partial sizing works best in more tapered cases, like the 6.5 x 55, .30-06 etc when loaded to lower pressure. Cases like the .308 often do better with either minimal...

Sorry Larrygoat, Bad idea to neck down that much. You are still going to need neck annealing after which the cases may not shoot that well due to uneven neck thickness. Buy some proper .243 cases...

You need a special die to open up the first part of the neck to seat cast lead. Also shout yourself a copy of the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. Its all in there. Grandpamac.
