Ok so I was hunting for the top of a mountain rather than animals, but I did see a few goats on the way up and this seemed like the best place to put some trip photos... bloody great to get up high...

I think the Lakefield 22 became the Savage Mk2 when they bought Lakefield, so you might find a Savage fits that stock.

53gr Vmax load in the 223 gives good ballistics and terminal effects, slippery for its weight and pretty explosive. Had a 204 and it was fun, but that particular rifle was a Savage Mod.12...

I think (at least when I was buying the Z3 a year or so back) the full size and compact Z's were the same for battery life anyway - slightly smaller battery in the compact, but the slightly smaller...
