I think I know of a carcano that could be had..... Wouldn't be near the top of my own list though. A MAS or an arisaka I'd have in a heart beat. Garands are a wee bit expensive for me to consider,...

Indeed! I've always had an affinity for Lee-Enfield No 1 Mk3s, the flat nose reminds of the Commando comics I used to read as a kid.
