Yes the Extreme Hunters are stainless. I've had both (only have the EH currently). I think that they are so close in terms of quality of manufacture and overall design there's nothing in it. Both...

Well there you go...I learned a thing. Stainless will still rust if not looked after. Is your Tikka blued ? As previously not trying to put you off, I prefer bergara over Tikka myself.

Targex use Berger jackets and there is nothing wrong with them. The 95 grn Targex never let me down on hundreds of deer with my little lightweight Browning. Who on the forum has got that gun now?

Yip 243 my main caliber took a backseat to the remmag for a few years but upgraded the scope to dial up and bush hunting more over the dog so have been using it a lot now.

A shout out to DPT for their new braked end caps that fit on end of the suppressor. Ran some fairly stout loads thru my 300WSM, 180gn & 200gn pills. Recoil was very manageable & pleasant to shoot....

Yes the blue box federal is a good option, I chrono the 80 gr load recently and it averaged 3187 fps so if it shoots well in your gun it should serve you well.

I started shooting with the 243, 75 gr on goats, fallow and then when the rifle moved to my care I added the Berger 87gr hunter and it's nailed a few red's. Then I added a bolt action fast twist...

I've always been infatuated with the 243. Only ever shot two deer with one. Wouldn't mind one, threads like this are not good for my wallet.

Lithgow LA101's are quite "big" 22s but supremely accurate (Annie match/vudoo class accurate) and excellent "cross over" hunting/target ergonomics.
