   Frustrating animals to hunt, I was there a few weeks ago, Waipakihi river. They seem to be around 1200/1400metres. Got close to 3, wasn't quick enough to get shot off.

    This time of year is hard to hunt Sika. IMO, they will be in the bush probably mid level on northern facing slopes. Bush stalk slowly until you come across sign etc.
