I always check that im valid before i go out.. if i renew it, i just write the new dates and #number on the one i printed out 3 years ago. it takes about 2 minutes. why would you not do it aye? :)

The trampers walk the tracks so you wont meet many, hunters should only be on tracks to gain access to other areas...if you are hunting in crappy bush in the Kaimai's then you are in the wrong place....

I always have a current permit for the entire North Island. So easy to get it and print it these days compared to years ago. Hunting on DoC land without one is illegal. Doing so is just dumb arsed.
