From memory it raked (and wrecked ) the inside faces of the two lungs and damaged the top of the heart. The part that surprised me was it’s relative lack of reaction to the bullets impact - all...

Back when I used the 222 a lot I found it very efficient within it's range limitations. When culling we used Sako 50 gr ammo which I think was relatively hard bullet but it performed well. Over the...

Absolutely right.Got a mate who shall remain nameless who insists that his Remmy 223 is just the beesknees. He loses more animals than anyone I know, simply because he attempts to shoot them on the...

Ive shot 9 deer with my .223 so far this year. 7 one shot kills, and two 2 shot kills. Out to 300 yards. Small Fallow through to a Red stag. I bring my .223 out once I start spring meat hunting. ...

See, this is exactly the sort of approach that I think bring success with the 222/223; being disciplined and sure of yourself and your gear. I think too many people just look at calibres themselves...

What you need to do is go out and get yourself a Kimber. In 270. 149614 3.1kg as pictured. No silly shit hanging off the end of the barrel. Good working rifle.

6.5 Creedmoor is a cartridge - 6.5 (.264) is a "caliber " so, you are telling me that anything .264 is better at killing game (or a few million people) than .308 Winchester....... be fair to say I...

This a constant issue really. I have the Cactus Huntaway and really rate it. The lightest, strongest most comfortable pack in that class I have seen. You cant kill them. Big issue as noted already is...

I've got an 'old' 1-3X x 20 on my Parker Hale 308. Looking to get it out soon and confirm that I can shoot the old thing with a plastic butt plate. Else I'll be looking for a Limb Saver. Good to...

I've used 2 1/2 or 3 x scopes for years, shot plenty of animals all the way out to 350. We tend to forget that the human eye is an amazing thing, and what it is capable of. Even with variable scopes...
